Church Fair Greens Table

Deb Nielson attended. *Reviewed attached for preparation.
Set up on 11/29 will be easier if have things prepared ahead
*October Messenger asking for assistance

*Collect items listed on attached list.
*Pine cones should not be too large. *Will meet November 8th 4:30
PM at Patrice’s (directions will be provided) to prepare/spray paint items.
Will have spray paint available
*Greens workshop November 29th
9am – completion of baskets for fair. Whatever time you can give will be
appreciated
*Gingerbread Fair Table December 1st
8:30-2:30 workers needed

Thanksgiving Cornucopia
|
Have Men’s Club Legacy Funds to purchase fruits, veges,
plants and anything else needed for set up. Any leftover funds will be given
to FPYF
|
*Set up Saturday 11/17 @ 9 AM and takedown after service
Sunday, 11/18
*Will request items from Congregation through Messenger,
Sunday Bulletin (11/11), FPYF will use for their Thanksgiving baskets
|
Advent/Christmas Season
|
First Sunday Advent is 12/2. This is the day after the
Gingerbread Fair. After discussion, decision is to begin setup on Thursday,
11/29 (while we are there for baskets) and then meet the next week to finish
|
Thursday, 11/29 will include time to get advent banners up
and possibly a couple of wreaths (Patrice will follow up with Top of Hill
Gang for assistance)
Saturday 12/8 @ 9 AM to finish setting up trees, etc

Poinsettia Sunday, December 23rd
|
Discussion included what colors/sizes to have available.
Last year the large white plants were fragile. Will plan to have small &
large red/small white.
Martha will contact the Morrison Center beginning of
November for pricing and delivery (? 12/20)
|
Order dates: Sunday 12/2 & 12/9 @ 8 AM and 10 AM
services. Will include in November
Messenger.
Who can be available after service to take orders?
Will need to set up by Saturday, 12/22. Hoping that
delivery and set up can be on Thursday, 12/20 (will depend on Morrison
Center)

Includes
Legacy Funds (Clark and Hewes funds are restricted. We did use Clark Fund for
Fish Garden. Have used for Alter flowers as identified in funds. Unused funds
are identified to be used for Choir and Youth)

Patrice is in contact with Jacqui and Kris re unused funds

2019 Budget
|
Due to Amy Chute, Church Treasurer, 10/1. Will include
flowers for alter, urn flowers, Fish garden and cleaning of paraments
|

Other
|
Baby Jesus for small Nativity has been broken and needs
replacement
There had been discussion in previous years about adding
blue paraments. Martha went to Abbey in Scarborough. What they had was more
elaborate than what we have and cost about $300.
Clean up of closets/ storage spaces
|
Martha spoke with church member Don Skelton, who is skilled
with woodworking and he will make one for us

as this was requested by previous minister and use would be limited to not
purchase and close this item

Nielson and Patrice went through items for greens and reorganized

clean up Christmas items as we set up for Advent
Will need
to set up a date and time to do closet in back of Sanctuary
